Time-lapse video really works to convey the scale of large projects. We often get asked to work on projects that have multiple partners such as this major project that is underway in the town of Worksop in North Nottinghamshire. So Time-Lapse was needed to show off the scale of this build.
A partnership between A1 Housing, Bassetlaw District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, and construction company, Robert Woodhead Ltd, is set to develop an impressive apartment complex for older people on the site of the former Abbey Grove Independent Living Centre.
The build will create 51 modern apartments for elderly residents with onsite care specifically designed for their needs.
Projects like this involved the demolition of the old Independent Living Centre and this gave us a great opportunity to get a time-lapse camera on site to capture all the action.
This particular site, as you can see from the footage, brought with it some difficulties with somewhere to fix our time-lapse camera. However, here at Stag we love a challenge so after a few conversations with some local residents, we were able to fix our cameras to the exterior of a home near by to ensure we captured the whole process from demolition through to the build as it is today.
As you will hear from the film, the site isn’t due to be completed until mid-late 2019 but we make regular visits to site to capture more video footage which enabled us to put together this video.
On one of our visits, we were able to arrange for all partners involved to attend and be interviewed on site. This was a great opportunity to get lots of footage and interviews that we pieced back together in the studio to create this film you can see here.
We believe time-lapse video really works in conveying the immense work and effort that goes into a build such as this. If you want to find out more about our time-lapse deals, get in touch
